[Afr] Stella Thembisa Ndabeni, Minister van Kleinsake-ontwikkeling, het op 26 September vanjaar die Konsep-wet op Besigheidslisensiëring in die Staatskoerant gepubliseer vir openbare kommentaar. Dit is beoog om die uitgediende Besigheidswet van 1991 te vervang. Die wetsontwerp volg op die Vrystaatse Wet op Geïntegreerde Lisensiëring van Besigheidsondersteuning van 2024. MBF is beindruk dat die nuwe wet voorsiening maak vir digitale prosesse en rompslomp sal verminder maar waarsku dat te veel magte aan munisipaliteite gegee word in die voorgestelde wetgewing wat tot nadeel van die plaaslike ekonomie kan wees.
Enige belanghebbende wat skriftelike kommentaar oor die Wet op Besigheidslisensiëring, 2025, wil indien, word uitgenooi om voor 20 Oktober met MBF hieroor te skakel.

[Eng] On 26 September this year, Stella Thembisa Ndabeni, Minister of Small Business Development, published the Draft Business Licensing Act in the Government Gazette for public comment. It is intended to replace the obsolete Business Act of 1991. The bill follows the Free State Integrated Licensing of Business Support Act of 2024. MBF is impressed that the new act provides for digital processes and will reduce red tape, but warns that too much power is given to municipalities in the proposed legislation which could be to the detriment of the local economy.
Any interested person or stakeholder who wishes to submit written comments on the Business Licensing Bill, 2025, is invited to contact MBF in this regard before 20 October.
