On 19 September 2022, a reception was held in the Frankfort area, where Kallie Kriel, Chief Executive Officer of AfriForum was the guest speaker.
In addition to local business people, farmers and community leaders, representatives of business forums from Welkom, Balfour, Parys, Heilbron, Reitz, Bethlehem, Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark also attended the evening. What has clearly emerged is that the condition of Mafube and also other municipalities in SA is not unique or simple to resolve. More so that small efforts here and there do not have a sustainable impact. Larger groupings can make a more effective impact when undertaking projects.
A panel consisting of Kallie Kriel, Jannie Schabort and Quintin Antunes closed the evening with informative answers to questions that came from various quarters. Legal technical questions were handled by one of Afriforum's top legal experts, Morné Mostert.
